Silver Street
Funk and that
Silver street were a brand new funk band in Plymouth when they formed over 2 years ago. Since then they have recieved rave reviews from both of their fans/wags and from local paper Diamond Freeads. Their consistantly slightly above average standard of playing has ensured that they may get invited back to play again at one of the many venues they have "performed" in. Their influences are hugely wide ranging and include jazz, cool jazz, jazz funk and jazz(misc.). Their recent CDs have now all been given away but they hope to enter the studio soon to lay down some more. They are quite pleased that, despite recent gigs, they have been invited to play at the sweet jazz suite. Amongst members that may turn up on the night are: Ian Pettit (shiny items), George Comer (bent objects), Mark Smith (fat strings), Mark Palmer (thin strings) and Alex Beal (hitting things)
